Ultraflux UF801-P rental

The performance meter in the fleet. Covers DN10 to DN1000, logs unattended for up to two months, reads out to dedicated PC software rather than a raw spreadsheet, and takes an optional energy kit for clamp-on BTU measurement.

Where it earns its keep

Four things separate the UF801-P from the budget ProLite: reach, endurance, temperature and how the data comes off. It covers DN10 to DN1000 against the ProLite's DN25 to DN600, sits on a pipe for weeks unattended, takes probes rated to +140 °C, and connects to a PC with dedicated software instead of dumping a spreadsheet. The DSP front end detects Reynolds number automatically and corrects the flow profile.

  • Distribution mains during a water loss audit
  • Temporary district metering where a permanent meter is not yet justified
  • Thermal energy on a chilled water or district cooling loop, with the energy kit
  • Hot water and condensate service, with the high-temperature probe kit
  • Difficult pipe — lined, heavily attenuating or awkward — with the difficult-conditions probes
  • Small bore below DN25, which the ProLite cannot reach
  • Multi-week pump or plant performance surveys

Probe kits

The UF801-P takes several clamp-on probe kits. Which one ships depends on your bore and fluid temperature, so tell us both when you book. Rental coverage is capped at DN1000.

Reading the data off

The built-in logger is multi-parameter, and it connects to a PC running dedicated Ultraflux software. That is the practical difference from the budget ProLite, which gives you a spreadsheet over USB and nothing else. On a month-long survey with several measurement points, software that understands the file is worth more than the rate difference.

The energy kit

With surface temperature probes on supply and return, the UF801-P reports thermal energy alongside flow — BTU/hr, kW, and totalised consumption. That turns a flow survey into an energy audit without a second instrument. Ask for the energy kit when you book; it is supplied with the meter rather than as a separate rental.
