Rental terms
Short, in plain language, and the same terms we would want to read.
Period and charges
- Minimum charge on any rental is $500.
- Beyond that, rentals are billed weekly: $699 for the Ultra ProLite, $899 for the Ultraflux UF801-P.
- The rental period runs from the day the meter is delivered to the day it is despatched back to us, not the day it arrives with us.
- Multi-week and monthly rates are quoted on request for survey work.
Extensions
Call before the return date. An extension agreed in advance is billed at the standard weekly rate. An unannounced late return is also billed weekly, but it may leave the next customer without a meter, and we will chase it.
Condition on return
Fair wear is expected. Coupling gel on the case, scuffs on the transducers, a used battery — none of that is chargeable. What is chargeable is damage that puts the unit out of service: crushed cable, cracked transducer housing, water ingress on an IP50 sensor that went into a flooded chamber, or a missing item from the case. See damage and insurance.
If the meter will not read your line
Sometimes a pipe defeats a clamp-on meter — heavy internal scale, a lining nobody documented, entrained air, or an installation with no usable straight run. Call us while you are still on site. Most of these are solvable over the phone, and the ones that are not are usually visible in the diagnostics.
Data on the meter
Download your logged data before returning the unit. Meters are reconfigured for the next rental and we cannot guarantee to recover data from a returned instrument.
What we do not do
- We do not supply meters for classified hazardous areas.
- We do not provide an operator. The rental is equipment only.
- We do not certify readings for custody transfer or legal metrology purposes.
