Calibration certificates
Free on request with any rental. Ask at booking and it ships in the lid of the case rather than following by email a week later.
Why it matters for a rental
If the measurement is going into a report that somebody else will rely on — a TAB certificate, an NFPA 25 test record, an energy savings claim, a billing dispute — the first question asked about the number is what instrument produced it and when it was last verified. A rental meter without a certificate invites that question and has no answer.
What the certificate covers
The instrument, verified against reference conditions, with the date and the identifying serial number of the unit you have. It establishes that the electronics and transducer pair are performing to specification.
What it does not cover
On a clamp-on installation, the instrument is rarely the dominant source of uncertainty. Straight pipe run, wall thickness entry, internal scale, lining thickness and fluid sound speed all contribute more error than the meter does. A certificate says the instrument is sound; it does not say your installation was.
Field calibration
The UF801-P can be field-calibrated against a known reference on your own line, which brings accuracy to roughly 0.5% of measured value. That is a separate exercise from the factory certificate and requires a trusted reference flow to calibrate against.
Requesting it
Say so when you book. There is no charge and no lead time — the meters are verified in our Houston lab as part of the return process between rentals, so the current certificate is on file.
